The Palette is open every time the Score View gets activated. It consists of the instruments and items you can work with in the Outline View. Practical instructions how to use these instruments (drag & drop onto the Outline View), are described in the “Using the MEI Score Editor“ part .
You can hide it by clicking the white triangle top right or move it to the other side of the Score View by dragging it like a view.
